Tourism Information for Harmanli
The city of Harmanli was originally founded in 1510 at the crossroads between Asia and Europe. The first reports of the town come from this date. Writer Gencho Stoev once wrote, "Harmanlians have no need to travel, because the world travels through them".
Today, Harmanli offers some of the most developed roads within the country due to its location, and we welcome visitors to our developing city.
Harmanli is perhaps most well known for its wealth of water reservoirs that are popular fishing spots. Reservoirs are located in: - Village Nedezhden - Micro-reservoir

Harmanli has a museum and two community centers, "Harmanli" and "Druzhba" that also act as libraries. In addition, the centers offer classes and concerts in folk singing, traditional dance, modern ballet, etc.
National monuments of culture include the old bridge and Saint Atanas altar. There are other findings and remains from various centuries in Bulgaria's history located around the city and its villages; however, the details of these subjects remain unknown.
Famous caves located in the region are "Haidushka" and Karakolyvata house, which is a cave in the village Dripchevo. Outdoor enthusiasts often offer hikes and excursions to explore this area.
